3.5 (center sill panel, outer)
3.9 (inner sill panel) Note:
In the process of replacing the outer and inner panels for this
vehicle it was noted that there are other labor operations/steps
that have not been taken into consideration. To facilitate the
replacement of the “rear outer sill panel,” both left and
right end “reinforcements” (# 58375-42010 and #58376-42010) must
be removed for access. To replace the sill panel in its entirety
(not a partial section), the lower pillar “end extensions”
(#61625-42010 and # 61626-42010) require removal. It should be
understood that the “rear sill panel” is inboard of these two
other end panels, requiring the removal of the two end pieces that
restrict access to the back sill panel spot welds. To
replace the “rear body inner panel,” the outer panel must
first be removed which require all of the above operational steps.
Then, to separate the rear body inner panel from the vehicle floor
pan, both left and right rail “side member extensions” (#
57615-42901 # 57616-42902) require separation to facilitate removal
of inner panel. Where the rear inner panel attached to the left and
right frame rail, the design of the inner panel is oddly configured
requiring sandwiched between the floor panel and the frame rail. Issue:

(quoted)
“Our decision is to provide full replacement time
for the rear body sill panel. We could not find enough time
improvement to warrant partialing this panel. The full time
ADP provides for the Rear Body Sill Panel is now 9.0 hours.
The time to replace the Rear Body Sill Panel & the Rear
Body Inner Panel which attaches to the floor pan is now 17.2
hours for the combination of both. These times also
include the R & I of all bolted parts. Motor/CCC Motor Information System (ARM8413) - Applied changes to labor and footnotes Toyota repair manual has a cut and join location regarding these parts Suggestion: ¨
