Issue:
1. Time allowance may not recognize the removal of the welded "rear bumber rail" (970299-3), leading to an insufficient time allowance for rear body panel.
2. No time allowance shown for "rear bumper rail."
Suggestion:To all providers, please review the operation:
1. Labor note should acknowledge the "rear bumper rail" removal.
2. Show a time allowance as a stand alone operation for the "rear bumper rail".

Note: The component is referred to as "Support Bar" in the MOTOR database and will be located in teh rear body group instead of the rear bumper group. The changes will be in the next P-Y publication due in October.

| Response | ADP provides 9.1 hrs to
replace the Rear Body Panel (9175762-5) on G/N 509 which
includes time to cut from the Quarter Panel Lt/Rt, Rear
Floor Pan, Rear Bumper Cover R&I as will as time to cut
the Rear Body Panel from the Rear Bumper (9170299-3).
ADP also provides 3.5 hrs to replace the Rear Bumper (9170299-3) on G/N 565 which includes Rear Bumper Cover R&I and to cut from the rear bumper to the Rear Body Panel. When these two items are selected on the estimate, there will be no time received on the Rear Bumper (G/N 565) as the times and operations will be included in the Rear Body Panel (G/N 509) replacement. 09/06/02 |
