Inquiry (as stated by inquirer) Working on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible: Left rocker replacement CCC estimating system They allow 5 hrs to do this replacement part - no notes The rocker panel on this car laps under the quarter panel, also welds to the inner rocker, "a" pillar and floor. I would like to see them complete this in 5 hrs; even when taking the not included operations into consideration.

Responses:
09/03/2004 - Mitchell: As stated in Procedure 15, Page P23, "Labor times are for replacement at factory seams if feasible. However, many rocker panels cannot be replaced at factory seams because the hinge pillar, center pillar, lock pillar and/or quarter panel overlaps the rocker panel. If a rocker panel is designed in this manner and a section time is not listed, the time in the text represents replacement of the panel at the most practical area. This reduces repair damage to overlapping panels and is considered a full panel replacement."
MOTOR: (9/20/04) (DR3NU96) Updated the rocker panel labor time to 8.5 hours with footnote “Time is after all necessary bolted on parts are removed.”. Also added a overlap operation of R&R rocker panel with 1/4 panel off deduct 1.5 hours.
