Mission Statement The purpose of this committee is to research and provide information which relates to legislation that affects, or has the potential to affect, the collision repair industry.
Issues for 2005
  • Number of totals and branding law loopholes
  • Diminished Value claims are on the rise
  • Class Actions
  • Legislation on total loss thresholds being lowered
  • Ongoing legislation on steering and insurer owned collision repair facilities
  • Event data recorders - Privacy issues
  • Non-deployed airbags
  • Increased difficulty in getting supplements paid in a timely manner (within 30 days)
